Homemade therapy is a series of what you can do at home to create wellness and wellbeing.

Our bodies do so much for us.  A way of thanking our body for all that it does is to eat healthy. Eating healthy should be simple, nutritious and delicious.

Breakfast

Breakfast is to Break your Fast.  Your body has been fasting between your last meal (dinner from the previous night) to the next meal (the next morning).  How would you like to break your fast?  You could have something to eat something or make a breakfast smoothie.

Healthy options is to create an alkaline-diet. An alkaline-diet helps you get up and go in the morning. It boosts your energy without a crash, and you feel more naturally awake in the morning. Alkaline foods are most fruits and vegetables, soybeans and tofu, and some nuts, seeds, and legumes are alkaline.

Easy options for eating

A fruit Salad.  You can prepare these in containers and keep in the fridge the night before.

Juicing

Why juice instead of eating something for breakfast.

Over the years the colon can get clogged up with diets being in high acid and mucus forming foods.  Mucus-producing tissue lines the mouth, nose, sinuses, throat, lungs, and gastrointestinal tract. Mucus acts as a protective blanket over these surfaces, preventing the tissue underneath from drying out.  Mucus is also very sticky, it traps things like dust and bacteria allowing them to leave the body before they enter the body.  When there is too much mucus in the colon it traps food and it can become hard forming a mucual plaque and instead of leaving the body it can stick to the colon.  Nutrients from the food will be hard to go through the colon wall.  Juicing allows the nutrients to through straight to the bloodstream and use very little energy to digest food.  The Nutribullet is a great way to make nutritious smoothies fast and there is very little cleaning up to do after.

You can make green smoothies, which are extremely alkaline and make non-dairy smoothies by using Coconut meat and Coconut water.

Coconut Water is the nutritious clear liquid inside the coconut fruit which is packed with vitamins and minerals.

A few key nutrients in Coconut Water include Lauric acid, Chloride, and Iron, as well as important electrolytes such as Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Sodium, and Phosphorous. In fact, the potassium content in Coconut Water is close to twice the amount in a banana. A healthy balance of electrolytes is important for the optimal health of our muscular, cardiovascular, nervous and immune systems, as well as to help with the absorption and balance of the body’s internal fluids.
