The practice of charity means the voluntary giving of help to those in need, as a humanitarian.
Often, we think we need to do grand gestures to do acts of charity. But do we? A simple gesture, a smile, helping an old lady cross the road or even helping at home is a start. Acts of Kindness can be more charitable, in addition to the financial donations that can be made. It is very rewarding too!
I believe Charity STARTS with little acts of kindness. It’s about becoming thoughtful and mindful even if we may not get a thank you. The question then to ask, is, what can I do and who can I do an act of kindness for right now?
When we go beyond just caring for ourselves, it does give our lives more meaning. You shouldn’t take my word for it, why not give it a go and see how it feels for yourself.
