Where Do You Find Peace?

Life can be stressful at times, we can feel frantic, exhausted, frustrated, angry and so much more and Peace is no where to be found. It’s handy to have some strategies that can help us navigate this thing we call life. Meditation (one strategy of yoga), is a way that can inspire peace in any moment. I have been doing it for years. It has actually saved my life. Life has certainly thrown me some curve balls, I was separated from my hubby for 8 months during the pandemic. Eventually I did back to Malaysia. I packed up the house in Malaysia to go back to Indonesia. Transiting back to Indonesia via UK. The rules changed and I could not get back to Indonesia. I am now in the UK with my daughter and my hubby will be travelling back and forth from Indonesia. I had to then find a place to live and a school for my daughter. Crazy right. I have to say yoga has helped my mind, body and life. It has helped me keep my sanity, I have become more present and mindful. I have a lot more energy and focus on solutions when things can go belly up. It certainly is peaceful. I realised peace comes from within and not outside of myself.

When you feel peaceful, you will present in the moment, this allows us to be mindful, This not only makes us happier, it can also help us deal with pain more effectively, reduce our stress and decrease its impact on our health, and improve our ability to cope with negative emotions like fear and anger. Yoga can help with this. One of the aspects of Yoga is meditation. This can help with becoming more present mindful and peaceful.
