Yoga After Work: Easing Tension from Sitting

After a long day spent at a desk, your body can often feel stiff and out of alignment. Our “Yoga After Work: Easing Tension from Sitting” class is designed to help you release built-up tension, stretch tight muscles, and restore balance to your body. This session will guide you through a series of gentle and effective yoga poses specifically tailored to counteract the effects of prolonged sitting and standing.

What to Expect

In this restorative session, you can expect a sequence designed to alleviate tension built up from a day of sitting. We start with gentle stretches like the Seated Butterfly and Banana Pose to open the hips and sides. Next, we’ll strengthen your back with Locust Pose and release hip tightness through Table Top and hip openers.

You’ll flow through standing poses like Reverse Warrior and Warrior 1 to energise and stretch your body. We’ll then move into a calming Forward Fold and Child’s Pose, incorporating foot rotations to ease ankle stiffness. The class concludes with a relaxing Savasana, allowing you to fully unwind and absorb the benefits of your practice. Expect a mix of gentle stretching and mindful relaxation to rejuvenate your body and mind.
